American Gem Society Laboratories Launches New Proportion-Based Report

October 14, 2008, Las Vegas, NV. The American Gem Society Laboratories, LLC today announced the launch of a new proportion-based Diamond Quality™ Report. The new report is based upon the science behind the AGS Light Performance Grading System.

“The Laboratories’ research team has utilized the patented light performance system to develop a better proportion-based method of grading diamonds,” said Frank Dallahan, President and CEO of AGS Laboratories. “This report gives diamond manufacturers and retailers the opportunity to have and market an ideal cut grade. In addition to Ideal, the new report contains word descriptors that are standard to the industry: Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair and Poor.
