AGS Laboratories Launches Online Report Verification
May 23, 2007. Las Vegas, NV. AGS Laboratories announced the launch of Report Verification, a new feature that allows visitors to conveniently verify a diamond grading report online. Report Verification is located at www.agslab.com.
Though the new feature will mainly target consumers, anyone with an AGS Laboratories diamond grading document can access and use Report Verification.
“We wanted to make it easier for consumers to verify their AGS Laboratories’ Diamond Grading Documents,” noted Peter Yantzer, Executive Director of AGS Laboratories. “Our founding tenet is consumer protection and we are always looking for new ways to increase consumer confidence. The ability to verify their AGS Laboratories Diamond Grading Document is just one way that we can help them.”
Visitors to www.agslab.com can access this new feature from the home page. To verify a report, a user will need an AGS Laboratories report number and the carat weight. Once that data is entered, a pop-up window will appear, indicating the grading analysis for the diamond, which users can print for their records.
The AGS Laboratories, created in 1996, is committed to protecting the consumer by providing unbiased grading reports based on the highest standards of diamond grading. AGS Laboratories is the only diamond grading laboratory licensed to use the AGS Performance-Based Cut Grade System — the first-ever cut grading system for a fancy shaped diamond. The Lab currently issues a cut grade on round brilliant, princess, and emerald cut diamonds. Other shapes are due to come on line in the near future.
