AGS Labs Offers Diamond Consultation With a Cut Grade Option

September 9, 2005. Las Vegas, NV. AGS Laboratories has added a new product offering to their line-up: clients can request a combined package of the Diamond QualityTM Document (DQD) and a special Diamond ConsultationTM (DC) that includes the Cut Grade.

“We’re offering this combined product in response to customer demand,” says Peter Yantzer, Executive Director of AGS Laboratories. “For a very reasonable increase over the regular cost of a DQD, clients can also have the special DC, thereby diversifying their sales presentation and product offering to their customers.”

AGS Laboratories’ clients can still order the standard DC alone as their sales needs dictate. The DC is a product for diamonds weighing 4.99 or less and provides shape, weight, clarity and color information about the diamond. The DC provides a concise “snapshot” of a diamond, and an easy to read spine for quick filing and identification. Fans of the DC like its small 3.5” x 4” size, which makes it convenient to display in jewelry case displays.

The DQD offers a complete performance analysis of the Cut grade for both round brilliants and princess cuts. Other fancy shapes are scheduled for release soon. When the DQD came out in 1996, AGS Laboratories was the first major laboratory to offer a complete Cut grade, and to this day, it is considered the premier diamond-grading document for the Cut grade worldwide.
