AGS Laboratories Board of Managers Elects New Chairman March 8, 2005- Las Vegas, NV March 8, 2005. The AGS Laboratories announced today that C. Clayton Bromberg, CG, has been elected the new chairman of their Board of Managers. Bromberg was elected unanimously by the Board at their recent quarterly meeting. He replaces Charles Lacy, who served as the chairman since 2002. Bromberg is a sixth generation member of Bromberg and Co., Inc. family business and is President and Chief Executive Officer of Underwood Jewelers Corporation in Jacksonville, Florida. He has played an integral role in the founding and leadership of AGS Laboratories, and most recently served as Vice Chairman on the Board of Managers. "The American Gem Society Laboratory holds a special place in my heart because I was around when it was founded to protect the consumer by being the first lab to use cut grades on round diamonds," says Bromberg. "There is no doubt I have big boots to fill taking Charles' place as the new Chairman. I look forward to being able to continue the work with our Board and Laboratory for the next couple of years." An active member of the American Gem Society since 1980, Bromberg is a past president of the Society and past member of the International Board of Directors, where he also served as Secretary and President-Elect. He has also served as marketing chair for both the Society and Laboratories. Bromberg has served as President and Board Member of the Florida Jewelers Association, past executive committee member of the Jewelers of America, past executive committee member of the Jewelers Vigilance Committee, and was Chairman of the Retail Jewelers Research Group. He is an active member of the Carat Club, and in 2004 was the winner of the Robert M. Shipley Award. "We're very excited about working with Clayton.
