AGS Laboratories Provides Laser Inscription for Mounted Stones

As a method to customize holiday jewelry purchases, as well as purchases throughout the year, the AGS Laboratories offers laser inscriptions for mounted stones.

While branding diamonds has been a major selling point for retailers, laser inscription has only been available for mounted stones through the AGS Laboratories. Laser inscription has been very successful in conjunction with diamond sales, therefore AGS Laboratories felt this a necessary advancement. By giving the consumer the opportunity to personalize a gift, retailers now have a new sales pitch for the holiday season.

This state-of-the-art laser inscription service allows inscription of finely detailed logos, as well as gem identification information. The excimer laser uses a cold vapor short wavelength that allows control of depth during inscription. This makes the process very stable and virtually eliminates the risk of a diamond fracture.
