How do I become a client of AGS Laboratories? Is there a charge?
There is no charge to become a client of the AGS Lab, and the forms can be faxed to your or can be found on our homepage.
For the online forms, Adobe Acrobat Reader is required. On the AGS Lab home page, click on the Client Service Button. You will be taken to a page called, “Become a Client of AGS Laboratories.” Please follow the directions provided there.

Once my stone(s) have been received, what is
the average turnaround time?
One day after we receive the stones, the goal of the AGS Laboratories is to
provide our clients a five (5) business day turnaround time to obtain the
grading results. This time will vary depending on the time of year. Top

Yes. Provide the information in writing and the AGS Laboratories will ship
the stones to the desired location. We will accept your request via fax

How do I ship goods to the AGS Laboratories?
You have the choice of using any shipping company you are comfortable with
or have done business with in the past. However, based on our experience
and in depth studies of reliability and results, we encourage our customers
to use Brinks, Federal Express or USPS registered mail. Top

What should I place on the address label?
The address label should contain the complete shipping address of the AGS
Laboratories. Do not address your goods to any particular individual; once
received by our security team, all packages are directed to our receiving
department for processing. Top
What documentation do you need to process my
goods?
In order to properly process goods, our receiving department requires a
packing list on your company's letterhead detailing the number of stones,
individual weight and value (for insurance purposes). Please make sure that
a contact name and phone number is provided so we may contact you if there
are any additional questions or concerns. Top
How should I package the goods?
All goods sent to the AGS Laboratories should be packaged carefully and
securely to avoid any unnecessary damage to the stones. Stones should be
packaged in individual stone papers. Please avoid sending more than one
stone in the same stone paper. Also, avoid using plastic bags and any other
packing materials other than the usual stone paper. Top
How do I get notified that my goods have been
received?
With most shipping companies, customers can track their packages online
using the tracking number assigned to each shipment. Top
Do you use pick up window services?
Yes, if goods are returned back to you using Brinks or Federal Express. Top
Do I need to establish an account with your
company before shipping goods to the AGS Laboratories?

I am a member of AGS, do I still need to establish
an account with the AGS Laboratories?
Yes, you do need to establish an account with our company in order to have
goods processed by the laboratory. While AGS and AGS Laboratories have many
ties, we are two separate companies and separate accounts need to be established
and maintained. Top
What shipping vendors do you accept?
Goods shipped to the AGS Laboratories can be sent to us by using the shipping
company of your choice. However, we strongly recommend that you use Brinks,
Federal Express or USPS registered mail service. Top
Why do you not use UPS to ship goods back to
me?
Based on the latest documents published, UPS will not accept any shipments
of articles of unusual value such as unset precious stones. Top
Can you ship goods internationally using Federal
Express?
No, the only company that we use for international shipments is Brinks.
At the customer request, other companies can be used but based on our experience
and the service level provided, Brinks remains our company of choice. Brinks
acts as our shipping broker and is responsible for obtaining and maintaining
all the required export licenses. Top
Explain how goods are insured within your company.
All goods are insured while in our possession by our insurance company. We will also insure any shipment going back to our customer
if so instructed. However, the insurance cost will be added to the cost
of processing the goods. Top
What armored firms do you use?
The only armored firm we use is Brinks. Top
Are there any value limitations on international shipments?
There are no limitations on the value of the goods for international shipments. Top
Are there any shipping day constraints (i.e.
can not ship internationally on Friday)?
No. Brinks has flights leaving from Las Vegas Monday through Friday.Top
Do you have shipping day constraints with Federal
Express?
No, all Federal Express shipments are within the United States. Federal
Express is shipping goods every day unless there is an observed holiday. Top
How are goods shipped via USPS within the US?
When using the USPS service, we will ship all goods registered mail. Top
Can you ship my goods internationally via USPS?
We do not use the USPS services to ship goods outside of the United States
(it is very difficult to track packages shipped via USPS once they leave
the US territory). Top
How would you recommend I ship good from another
country to the US?
Our customers have the choice to use any shipping company they trust or have used in the past. Based
on our experience and results, we recommend that goods be shipped via Brinks. We have take-in windows
in several countries that you may use if you are located in that country. Please go to our Global Representative page to find a location in your country.Top
How are goods shipped back to customers?
Our customers based in the United States have the choice of one of our preferred
shipping companies, Brinks, Federal Express or USPS registered mail service.
All international shipments will be sent out via Brinks. Top

Our customers have the choice of using any shipping company they trust and feel comfortable with.
Based on our experience and results, our preferred armored company is Brinks. The AGS Laboratories
will use a different armored company if so instructed by the customer but will not assume any

agencies?
We have no interaction unless we are contacted by the custom agencies for
additional information. Top
What paperwork is needed for international shipments?
A commercial invoice is required and should be provided by the customer
for each international shipment. The AGS Laboratories cannot prepare such
a document. Top
If Brinks is handling my goods from the shipping
point to the airport, who is contracted to fly the goods to the destination?
Do I have to make arrangements for Brinks pick up at the destination airport?
Once goods are picked up from our location, Brinks is handling all shipments
door to door. No additional paperwork or action is required and all domestic
